Job summary

Galatek Life Sciences in Singapore is seeking a Lab Automation Engineer - Workflow Development & Integration to design and implement automated experimental workflows on our laboratory automation platform.

You will work with scientists, software engineers, and hardware teams to translate protocols into executable automation scripts and coordinate workflows across liquid handlers, robotic systems, and instruments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
• 2–3 years in laboratory automation or life science instrumentation.
• Experience with Python or C# programming.
• Familiarity with instrument control software and APIs.
• Ability to troubleshoot and work with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Translate protocols into automated methods and scripts for liquid handlers and robotics.
• Develop, test, and troubleshoot automation scripts.
• Support instrument integration via software, APIs, or SDKs.
• Collaborate to optimize reliability, throughput, and sample handling.
• Assist in platform integration and lab setup in Singapore R&D.
• Document workflows and provide training materials.
