Job description

Our client, a well-known company is looking for candidates for the position of Lab Analyst.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct analyses and testing accurately in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure all test results and calculations are meticulously organized prior to submission to the chemist or supervisor.
  • Report non-conformances and equipment malfunctions to the laboratory manager.
  • Assist in investigating failures in chemical analysis.
  • Record results following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) standards.
  • Develop and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and On-the-Job Training (OJT) documents for the laboratory.
  • Perform equipment and product qualifications and validate analytical methods as necessary.
  • Ensure documentation and quality records align with ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, such as analytical balances.
  • Participate actively in routine housekeeping, 3S activities, Risk Assessment, Hazard Prevention, and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns or malfunctions effectively.
  • Assist with the procurement, inventory management, and control of lab consumables.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for preventive maintenance services and calibration.
  • Adhere consistently to the organization's safety policies.
  • Undertake any additional tasks assigned by supervisors when required.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Chemical Process Technology or a related field.
  • Familiarity with chemistry laboratories.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
  • Strong communication and writing abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
