Job summary

SUPER GOOD ALLIANCE PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Assistant Cook to support food preparation and production across our restaurant operations.

The role works under the Head Cook, Chef or outlet management to ensure consistent food preparation, hygiene, stock handling and kitchen support. You will prepare ingredients, assist with cooking, operate a prep station, follow recipes and ensure quality, accuracy and timely service for dine-in, takeaway and online orders.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience in a hands-on restaurant kitchen position.
• Practical experience in ingredient preparation and basic cooking.
• Ability to follow standard recipes, portion specifications and preparation instructions.
• Knowledge of safe food handling, storage and stock rotation.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy restaurant kitchen.
• Ability to follow food-safety instructions, labels and directions used by the company.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Willingness to work across food-service locations operated by the company.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality and kitchen-hygiene compliance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by washing, cutting, portioning, grinding, marinating and measuring.
• Assist with preparing and cooking dishes according to the company’s menu, recipes and operating procedures.
• Operate an assigned preparation or cooking station under a senior kitchen employee.
• Follow approved recipes, cooking methods, portion sizes and presentation requirements.
• Prepare dine-in, takeaway and online-delivery orders accurately and within the required service time.
• Check ingredients and prepared food for freshness, quality and correct storage.
• Apply first-in, first-out stock rotation and appropriate food labelling.
• Assist with receiving, checking and storing ingredients, packaging and kitchen supplies.
• Report low-stock items, damaged goods, wastage and quality issues.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene at preparation areas, cooking stations, refrigerators, storage areas and kitchen equipment.
• Follow food-safety, allergen-control, personal-hygiene and workplace-safety procedures.
• Assist with kitchen opening, closing, stock-count and shift-handover duties.
• Work at different food-service locations operated by the company when reasonably required.
• Perform other cooking and kitchen-support duties reasonably related to the position.
