Job summary

A dim sum restaurant in Singapore is looking for individuals to assist in the preparation of dim sum items and support the chef in various tasks. Candidates should have prior experience in dim sum production and be able to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The position includes a six-day work week with competitive hours.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in dim sum production roles is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of traditional dim sum items and cooking techniques is an advantage.
• Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of dim sum items
• Handle production machinery and handmade dim sum
• Support the dim sum chef in ingredient preparation, mixing, shaping, steaming, and packaging
• Maintain proper hygiene, cleanliness, and organization in the work area according to food safety standards
• Label and store ingredients and finished products appropriately
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Company

Requirements

• Ability to follow recipes, portion guidelines, and food safety protocols
• Able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods

• 6 days’ work week (Mon to Fri, 074hrs to 1700hrs & Sat 0745hrs to 1630hrs)
