Job summary

A local manpower agency in Singapore seeks a Kitchen Assistant to support cooking lessons and maintain kitchen standards. Responsibilities include ordering ingredients, preparing materials, and ensuring cleanliness in the kitchen. Candidates must be able to understand English and have cooking experience. This is a full-time role requiring good interpersonal skills and teamwork ability. The contract lasts for 9 months, with weekdays working hours from 7 am to 2 pm, excluding public holidays.

Qualifications

  • Assist in ordering ingredients for cooking lessons.

About the job Kitchen Assistant ( Bukit Batok)
  • Assist teacher in the ordering of ingredients for cookery lessons
  • Assist teacher in preparation of materials for home economics lessons
  • Assist Teacher in the maintenance of equipment in the Home Economics Cookery Rooms
  • Assist teacher in preparation of refreshment, crockery and tablecloth and table ware for meetings / conference etc
  • Takes charge of cleanliness of the Home Economics Rooms.
  • Help out with the preparation of equipment/facilities in the Home
  • Economics Rooms for any other events (e.g. Enrichment programmes, CCA groups, etc.)

Requirement:

Able to speak and understand English

Skills: Candidate should be able to cook and has experience handling cooking utensils and knives. Candidate should also have experience in cooking preparations.

Candidate should have good interpersonal and communication skills, provide good customer service and be a good team player.

Duration/Working hours:

9 months contract (2 Jan 2026 to 29 May 2026 & 24 Jun 2026 to 30 Oct 2026)

  • Mondays to Fridays (Daily): 7.00am to 2:00pm, inclusive of ½ hr lunch break.
  • Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays.
