Job summary

Search Avenue Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a passionate teacher to deliver abacus and mental arithmetic lessons to young learners, following a structured syllabus.

You will review homework, update progress reports, communicate with parents, and assist with competitions and centre events. Basic admin tasks such as attendance and class recordings may be included. Training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching children.
• Knowledge/Experience in Abacus.
• Strong command of English (spoken and written).
• Basic computer skills: Zoom, MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
• Good foundation in Mathematics.
• Patient, passionate about teaching, and enjoys working with children.

Responsibilities

• Teach abacus and mental arithmetic lessons following our structured syllabus and teaching methods.
• Assign, review, and mark students’ homework while motivating them to complete tasks.
• Communicate with parents regularly on students’ progress, learning needs, and centre updates or schedule changes.
• Update student progress reports to ensure they are meeting key learning milestones.
• Support preparation for competitions, assessments, and internal centre events.
• Handle basic administrative tasks such as attendance-taking, lesson recordings, and uploading of online class materials.
