Assistant Manager/Manager, Key Accounts (FMCG/Retail)

Location: Singapore

We are looking for a motivated and proactive Key Account Assistant Manager/ Manager that has experience in the FMCG industry to join our team. This role plays a key part in managing and growing relationships with strategic retail customers in Modern Trade channel, specifically Fair Price, 7‑Elevens & Western Pharm Channels like Guardian & Watsons. Our ideal candidate must have strong analytical skills to evaluate market data, sales performance, and marketing impact, while also being able to make quick decisions that align with long‑term strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive sales growth and profitability by achieving volume and distribution targets.
  • Develop and execute customer‑focused sales strategies that align with business goals and leverage market insights.
  • Build & maintain strong relationships with your key account contacts.
  • Manage & optimise promotional budgets, ensuring an efficient ROI.
  • Drive promotional excellence, ensuring marketing campaigns and in‑store activations deliver maximum impact.
  • Negotiate pricing, promotional allowances, and trading terms to secure mutually beneficial commercial outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (marketing, supply chain, sales) to deliver effective marketing executions and seamless operations.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer insights to inform strategy.
  • Lead business reviews and present regular performance updates to internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven success in sales or account management in the FMCG industry, with a focus on growth and performance.
  • Have experience in relevant Key Account Experience esp for Fair Price, 7‑Elevens & Western Pharm Channels like Guardian & Watsons.
  • Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable deals and outcomes for both the company and customers.
  • Exceptional relationship‑building skills and a history of developing strong, long‑term partnerships.
  • Experience in business planning, trade spend management & promotional execution.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to leverage data insights for decision‑making.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Understanding of business operations, including marketing, category management, and supply chain operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and tools like Power BI for data analysis.
  • A collaborative team player with a results‑driven approach, who can also work independently to achieve goals.
