Job description
What you’ll do:

As a Key Account Manager based in Singapore, you will be entrusted with overseeing some of the most important customer relationships within the organisation. Your day‑to‑day responsibilities will involve crafting detailed account plans that set clear objectives for growth while ensuring alignment with wider business strategies. You will have the opportunity to propose innovative commercial policies tailored to specific customer needs, analyse performance metrics to uncover new avenues for expansion, and negotiate agreements that support long‑term partnerships. Working collaboratively with cross‑functional teams—including Sales, Trade Marketing, Customer Service, Logistics, and Marketing—you will ensure that every aspect of the customer experience is executed flawlessly. By monitoring progress against targets and KPIs, you will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of performance while supporting local sales teams in delivering exceptional results at store level. Your ability to foster strong internal networks will be essential in driving continuous improvement and achieving shared goals.

  • Develop comprehensive key account plans designed to achieve ambitious business growth objectives while aligning with overall strategic goals.
  • Propose and implement commercial policies, trade terms, and tailored customer plans across Singapore to maximise value for both customers and the organisation.
  • Analyse customer performance data regularly to identify emerging business opportunities and create actionable plans that address market needs.
  • Negotiate contracts, annual promotional initiatives, and in‑store execution details with assigned customers to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Manage trade spending efficiently by monitoring return on investment and ensuring all activities comply with company policies and guidelines.
  • Coordinate closely with Sales, Trade Marketing, Customer Service, Logistics, and Marketing teams to guarantee seamless execution of agreed plans.
  • Monitor sales targets, budgets, and key performance indicators (KPIs), proactively addressing any issues or deviations from plan as they arise.
  • Support and guide local sales teams to ensure flawless execution at store level that aligns with broader national strategies.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders to facilitate open communication and effective problem‑solving across departments.
What you bring:

To excel as a Key Account Manager in this role, your background should reflect substantial experience managing major accounts within fast‑moving consumer goods or similar sectors. Your academic achievements—ideally including a degree in Business or related disciplines—will underpin your ability to navigate complex commercial landscapes. You bring not only technical expertise but also outstanding interpersonal skills that allow you to connect meaningfully with colleagues across functions. Your proven track record includes successfully negotiating contracts, analysing market trends for actionable insights, and guiding teams towards shared objectives. Adaptability is one of your strengths; whether working on traditional retail projects or modern trade initiatives, you consistently demonstrate reliability under pressure. Your comfort using advanced analytics tools ensures data-driven decision-making remains at the heart of your approach. Above all else, your commitment to collaboration makes you an invaluable member of any team striving for excellence.

  • A university degree in Business or a related field provides you with a solid foundation for understanding complex commercial environments.
  • Significant experience in key account management or sales roles equips you with practical insights into managing high‑value customer relationships effectively.
  • Demonstrated expertise working across both Traditional & Modern Trade channels as well as Impulse Channels enables you to adapt strategies for different retail environments.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of channel management principles and customer planning processes ensures you can develop targeted solutions that meet diverse client needs.
  • A deep understanding of commercial logistics along with sales field operations and merchandising processes allows you to optimise supply chain efficiency.
  • Exceptional communication skills empower you to build rapport with stakeholders at all levels while conveying ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Advanced analytical abilities enable you to interpret complex data sets quickly so you can make informed decisions that drive business outcomes.
  • Proven negotiation skills help you secure favourable agreements while maintaining positive long‑term partnerships with customers.
  • A proactive approach combined with being a dependable team player means you excel under pressure without compromising quality or deadlines.
  • High proficiency in MS Office applications as well as business analytics tools supports your ability to manage information efficiently.
