A new opportunity has arisen for a skilled Key Account Manager like you, to oversee and bring expertise to our team.

Rolls‑Royce Power Systems is headquartered in Friedrichshafen in southern Germany and employs around 9,000 people. The product portfolio includes mtu‑brand high‑speed engines and propulsion systems for ships, power generation, heavy land, rail and defence vehicles and for the oil and gas industry as well as diesel and gas systems and battery containers for mission critical, standby and continuous power, combined generation of heat and power, and microgrids.

Key Accountabilities
  • You will support our Key Account Managers to manage and develop existing Data Center Key Accounts in APAC.
  • Focus on turn‑key solutions which include the equipment delivery, customized scope, peripherals, logistics, installation & commissioning on site and service agreements.
  • Interact with regional and local customer teams (procurement, commercial and execution teams).
  • Prepare forecasting with the clients and align with production planning and execution capacity.
  • Support Key Account Manager to transfer quotations to orders in our ERP system and handover to Order Management.
  • Be part of the tender team to work on complex tenders incl. technical and commercial clarification of specifications, T&Cs and scope of works.
  • Support quotation preparation incl. commercial offer, bill of material, scope demarcation, technical submittals, service information, etc.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders such as application & sales engineering, controlling, project management, service, network management, order management, R&D, subsidiaries and other supporting functions on successfully quoting and executing turn‑key projects and to further develop our APAC Data Center business.
  • Develop long‑term relationships and growth strategies together with the customer team for respective Key Accounts.
  • Be aware of global and regional market trends in the Data Center environment and prepare market strategic decisions to grow the business and to win and develop potential new Data Center clients.
  • Use internal sales and information tools such as CRM, configuration tools, information databases, computerized engineering tools, technical libraries and factory standards for the sales work as well as for the planning and reporting. Make sure to work in accordance with the internal processes, approval workflows and the Rolls‑Royce Code of Conduct.
Qualifications And Skills
  • University / college studies in Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • Sales experience (min. 2 years) preferably in the data center industry, emergency power generation business, O&G or construction business.
  • Analytical and meticulous work approach.
  • Good communication, interpersonal skills and team management
  • Independent, reliable and proactive personality
