Job summary

A leading construction services company in Singapore is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to lead daily site operations in industrial construction, ensure safety and quality compliance, and manage subcontractors. The ideal candidate should have a background in scaffolding, insulation, and asbestos handling, with at least 8 years of experience, including 3 years in a petrochemical environment. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to significant projects on Bukom Island.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in industrial construction, with at least 3 years on Bukom Island or similar petrochemical environments.
• Strong technical knowledge in scaffolding, thermal insulation, industrial painting/coating systems, and asbestos handling and disposal.
• Familiarity with ASTER Bukom’s HSSE & Quality standards and local regulatory requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily site operations, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and timelines.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors and site crews involved in scaffolding, insulation, painting, and asbestos-related work.
• Ensure all work activities adhere to previously Shell, now ASTER Bukom’s safety & quality protocols, including permit-to-work systems and confined space entry procedures.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure quality and safety compliance.
• Liaise with process unit managers, engineers, and client representatives to resolve site issues and ensure smooth execution.
• Maintain accurate documentation including daily progress reports, safety records, and material usage.
• Support planning and scheduling of work activities, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
• Assist in risk assessments and method statement reviews, particularly for high-risk activities involving asbestos.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement among site personnel.
• Be commercially aware and profit and loss minded.
