We are looking for a Junior Technical Ad Operations Specialist to support advertising and tracking operations for our games and web platforms. This role works with business, UA/marketing, ad partners, vendors, and engineering teams. The focus is on campaign technical setup, tag and pixel QA, GTM/CMP checks, reporting validation, troubleshooting, and documentation. The candidate should be detail-oriented, willing to learn ad technology, comfortable with technical document, and able to communicate in Chinese and English.
Responsibilities
- Support technical ad operations for game advertising, UA tracking, partner tags and GTM/CMP workflows.
- Assist with campaign setup checks, tracking links, pixels, macros, URL parameters, landing page tracking, registration/login conversion tracking, and reporting validation.
- Perform QA across browsers, devices, countries, domains, landing pages, payment flows, and game contexts.
- Use browser developer tools to check network requests, console errors, redirects, cookies, local storage, script loading, and tracking calls.
- Monitor basic ad and tracking metrics, including impressions, clicks, CTR, conversions, fill rate, no-fill, completion rate, revenue, eCPM, and reporting discrepancies.
- Help investigate issues such as missing tags, broken tracking, no-fill, blocked scripts, CMP overlay problems, duplicate tracking, reporting mismatches, or player-facing ad errors.
- Coordinate with ad partners, vendors, product teams, payment/platform teams, and developers to collect information, follow up on issues, and document findings.
- Support UA campaign execution, including basic media buying setup, campaign launch checks, tracking validation, performance monitoring, and coordination with UA partners.
- Translate technical and business communication between Chinese and English-speaking stakeholders.
Requirements
- 0–4 years of experience in ad operations, digital marketing operations, UA operations, affiliate operations, QA, technical support, web operations, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of digital advertising concepts such as impressions, clicks, CTR, conversions, revenue, eCPM, fill rate, and tracking discrepancies.
- Basic understanding of HTML, JavaScript, URLs, query parameters, redirects, cookies, and browser behavior.
- Has technical foundation or a strong willingness to learn technical tools and concepts.
- Detail-oriented, able to follow QA checklists, read technical instructions, and summarize issues clearly.
- Interest in games and online advertising.
- Fluent in Chinese and English.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Google Tag Manager, Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Ad Manager, InMobi CMP, affiliate tracking, or ad network dashboards.
- Experience with tracking pixels, conversion events, landing page tags, video/display/rewarded ads, ad players, waterfalls, bidding, or no-fill troubleshooting.
- Basic Excel/Google Sheets, SQL, log checking, reporting, GDPR, cookie consent, CMP, or TCF knowledge.
