Guided by a philosophy of precision, balance, and creativity, our kitchen team is dedicated to delivering refined, soulful dishes that embody the spirit of modern Asian fine dining. We are seeking a Junior Sous Chef who shares our passion for excellence, craftsmanship, and continuous growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring consistency and excellence in execution and presentation.
  • Prepare dishes in line with established recipes, techniques, and plating standards that reflect Willow’s culinary philosophy.
  • Contribute to menu development through thoughtful input on new dishes, seasonal ingredients, and modern interpretations of Asian cuisine.
  • Maintain a high level of mise en place readiness, ensuring efficiency and precision during service.
  • Uphold the highest standards of kitchen hygiene, food safety, and organization, ensuring compliance with all health regulations.
  • Assist in managing ingredient quality, stock rotation, and procurement of premium produce from trusted suppliers.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, promoting teamwork, respect, and a culture of learning within the kitchen.
  • Demonstrate initiative and professionalism under pressure, maintaining composure during high-volume or high-profile services.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a fine-dining or Michelin-starred restaurant, ideally with exposure to Japanese or Contemporary Asian cuisine.
  • Strong technical foundation in modern and traditional cooking methods, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining consistency and precision.
  • Deep respect for ingredients, seasonality, and the art of presentation.
  • Culinary diploma or equivalent professional certification preferred.
  • A team player with a disciplined, humble, and growth-oriented mindset.
