Job summary

A leading engineering firm is seeking a Marine Field Service Engineer in Singapore. This role involves commissioning and repairing marine generators and providing after-sales technical support. Candidates should have a degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, at least 5 years of experience, and be willing to travel within the Asia Pacific and Southeast Asia. Competitive compensation includes a monthly salary between SGD 4,500 and SGD 6,000 plus allowances.

Responsibilities

  • Provide standby support and emergency call for customer support.
  • Deliver after-sales technical support, site recovery, and maintenance.
  • Generate systematic service reports for customers.
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints regarding product failures.
  • Review warranty claims and determine the extent of damage and repairs.
  • Develop and update service training materials.
  • Train distributors on service and troubleshooting skills.

Job description
Position Title: Field Service Engineer
  • Working Location: Jurong East
  • Working Days: Monday – Friday
  • Working Hours: 8:30am – 5:15pm
  • Salary range (Senior): SGD 4,500 – SGD 6,000 monthly, 13th month, SGD 250 transport allowance
Basic Functions

We are looking for Marine Field Service Engineers for commissioning, troubleshooting and repair of marine Generator. Qualified candidates should have hands‑on experience with assembly and repair of Marine Generator, and/or familiar with marine electronics and automation systems.

Specific Responsibilities
  • Standby support and emergency call for customer support.
  • Providing after‑sales technical support, site recovery and maintenance responsibilities to distributors/end customers.
  • Generate a service report to customer in a systematic manner.
  • Investigate and handle all customers’ complaints related to product failures.
  • Investigates root causes of failures and recommend solutions.
  • Review and assist in determining the extend of damage and repairs of warranty claims from distributors.
  • Maintain close working relationship with our key customers to ensure the follow through until the issue is resolved.
  • Develop service training material, ensures all technical and training documents are up‑to‑date and organized.
  • Provides specific training to distributors and dealers for service and troubleshooting skillsets, ensuring optimum service level at all distributors.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Diploma/degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • This position requires fair amount of traveling in the Asia Pacific and Southeast Asia Region.
  • Candidates with equivalent professional background will be considered.
  • Prior electrical and control experience with various control system (John Deere ECU and KDI ECU) and synchronization system will be advantageous.
