Job summary

A*STAR RESEARCH ENTITIES in Singapore is seeking a System Engineer to contribute to software development for Software as a Medical Device (SaMD). You will work with Project Managers to ensure the product lifecycle is followed and milestones are met.

You will support planning and execution of SaMD projects including AI in healthcare; assist the technical team in design, verification and validation of medical devices including SaMD; and prepare documentation with software, quality and regulatory

Qualifications

Education in computer engineering or biomedical engineering.
One year of software development or medical device product development experience.
Knowledge in software development; experience in software development environment is an added advantage.
Knowledge/willingness to learn ISO 13485 documentation practices and drive teams.
Good follow-up skills.

Responsibilities

Support project manager to plan and execute Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) projects including AI applied to healthcare.
Support technical team in product development, design verification and validation of medical devices including software as medical device.
Prepare, design and development documentation by working together with software developers, quality and regulatory personnel.
Prepare project agreements, procurement specifications and technical documents.
Follow-up on project milestones.
