Location: Kaki Bukit

Working days: 5.5 days

Working Hours: Mon - Fri 9 am to 6 pm, Sat 9 am to 1 pm

Job Summary:

The Junior Quantity Surveyor will assist in cost management, estimation, and procurement activities for signage and metal sheet projects. This role provides hands‑on exposure to site works, budgeting, and project administration under the guidance of senior QS or project managers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing project cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents.
• Support senior QS in evaluating quotations, subcontractor proposals, and material costs.
• Conduct site visits to verify work progress, material usage, and measurements.
• Monitor project expenses and assist in preparing cost reports and financial summaries.
• Help manage procurement of materials and subcontractors under supervision.
• Maintain proper documentation and records for projects, contracts, and variations.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and designers to ensure accurate costing.
• Support risk assessment and highlight potential cost overruns to senior QS.
• Learn and adhere to company policies, safety standards, and local regulations.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• min 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in signage, metal fabrication, or construction.
• Basic knowledge of construction contracts, cost control, and procurement processes.
• Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with AutoCAD or cost estimation software is a plus.
• Good communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
