Job summary

LMA Recruitment Singapore Pte. Ltd. seeks a Junior Legal Associate to support a strategic M&A project in the financial services sector. You will work with the Company Secretary and internal stakeholders across governance, documentation and transactions.

The role offers exposure to major corporate matters in a highly regulated environment, with opportunities to contribute to board-related and regulatory initiatives.

Qualifications

• Law degree and/or legally qualified with approximately 1–2 years of relevant legal experience.
• Fresh graduates with relevant legal training welcome to apply.
• Prior banking, insurance or regulated financial services exposure is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support the Company Secretary in planning and executing the M&A project, including governance and milestones.
• Assist with transaction-related legal and corporate governance matters, including board approvals and resolutions.
• Prepare, review and coordinate corporate secretarial and governance documentation.
• Support director appointments, onboarding and induction related to the transaction.
• Monitor compliance with Singapore company law and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external advisers across multiple workstreams.
• Track actions, deliverables and timelines; follow up to ensure timely completion.
• Assist with research and preparation of materials for the project and governance matters.
• Support process improvements and efficiencies within the governance function.
