Job summary

Charles River Laboratories is seeking a detail-oriented laboratory technician to support client studies and ensure data accuracy. The role involves preparing media, performing environment monitoring, and maintaining compliant records in a GMP/GLP environment.

The incumbent will participate in method development and validation, assist during audits, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and timely reporting of test results. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Higher NITEC / ITE or related field.
• Minimum 1 year experience in cGMP or ISO17025 labs; fresh graduates welcome.
• Meticulous, self-starter and motivator.
• Good command of English.
• Good technical understanding and judgment.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Team player with ability to work across functional teams or independently.

Responsibilities

• Performs laboratory functions with high accuracy and adherence to quality requirements.
• Maintains GDP-compliant records and data integrity for testing activities.
• Prepares media and materials for tests, including washing glassware and depyrogenation.
• Performs environment monitoring as required.
• Performs QC of media and lab consumables as required.
• Receives and inspects incoming samples against documents and resolves discrepancies per SOPs.
• Receives and inspects inventory materials for discrepancies per SOP.
• Generates reports for tests with accuracy and timely turnaround.
• Maintains good housekeeping and laboratory maintenance.
• Supports investigations, deviations and CAPAs in the lab.
• Supports audits for areas of responsibility.
• Initiates and supports improvements within the area of responsibility.
• Supports method development and validation for testing services per regulatory/customer requirements.
• Assists in demonstrations to clients during site visits as needed.
• Documents events that could affect safety, quality or compliance to superior.
