Job description
Investment Research and Analysis
  • Conduct fundamental research on companies, sectors, and markets, including qualitative and quantitative analysis.
  • Build and maintain financial models to evaluate company performance, valuation, and potential returns.
  • Analyse financial statements and other company disclosures to support investment recommendations.
Portfolio Support
  • Assist in monitoring existing investments, including tracking key performance indicators, news flow, and risk factors.
  • Prepare regular portfolio review materials such as performance summaries, attribution analysis, and risk reports.
  • Support the team in executing trades by preparing necessary documentation and analysis.
Reporting and Documentation
  • Prepare investment memos, presentation materials, and internal reports for investment committee meetings.
  • Summarise research findings and provide clear, concise written analysis to support investment decisions.
  • Maintain databases and research files to ensure data accuracy and easy retrieval of information.
Market and Industry Monitoring
  • Track macroeconomic trends, market developments, and regulatory changes that may impact investments.
  • Monitor daily market movements and highlight relevant news or events to the investment team.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Support
  • Work with internal teams such as risk management, compliance, and operations to ensure smooth execution of investment activities.
  • Participate in internal meetings, contribute views, and support ad hoc analysis as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, with strong academic performance and a solid grounding in finance and investment concepts.
  • Experience in investment management, banking, corporate finance, or related areas is an advantage but not essential.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to build and analyse financial models and work confidently with financial statements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and prepare structured reports.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism, with a proactive and curious mindset, and the ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Well-organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
