Job Description – Cloud Consultant
We are seeking a motivated professional to support with the implementation, management, and optimization of our cloud computing systems. This role focuses on operational support and collaboration with IT teams to ensure cloud infrastructure is secure, well-maintained, optimized for performance and cost-efficiency, and aligned with organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Cloud Infrastructure Management
- Assist in designing, deploying, and configuring cloud environments, including virtual machines, containers, and serverless platforms.
- Monitor and optimize cloud resources for optimal performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, including networking, security, and access controls.
- Collaboration & Integration
- Work closely with development teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud-based applications with underlying infrastructure and services.
- Support project solution designs to align with IT policies, guidelines, and technical requirements.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to ensure smooth operations, timely issue resolution, and adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Support & Advisory
- Provide guidance and support to end-users on cloud-related issues, best practices, and usage.
- Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and industry trends and assess their potential impact on the organization.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain and administer IT architecture artefact repository.
- Document cloud configurations, processes, and procedures for reference and training.
- Prepare reports and documentation and reports directly to the CAG Officer-In-Charge.
Expectation
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 1+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure support, with a focus on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, including infrastructure as code, serverless computing, containerization, and microservices architecture.
- Experience with cloud security and compliance frameworks, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC 2.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing requirements, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant cloud certifications, such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals, or Google Associate Cloud Engineer, are an advantage.
