The purpose of the role is to charter vessels for the agrifreight/commodity traders, managing fleet open positions, expanding our contacts in the panamax market, and communicating effectively with the pricing team.

Main Accountabilities

• Charter vessels to cover existing shipping requirements
• Daily contact with brokers and freight team across the world
• Work closely within the team to share market movements and information
• To seek business opportunities complimentary to our trading flows
• Provide daily feedback to commodity traders on market direction, based on market analysis
• Provide freight quotes for forward business
• Coordinating with operations team on voyage execution to avoid errors
• Participate in the execution of freight futures trading
• Working with internal Bunker coordinator to ensure best coverage/planning for vessels chartered

Job Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience with panamax market
• Fluent in English
• Team player who has the discipline to meet pre-defined deadlines; able to operate within a cross cultural team environment with strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills; able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Determination to grow within the business.
