Job summary

A leading furniture and furnishings company in Singapore is seeking an experienced accountant to manage full set accounts and prepare financial statements. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of relevant experience and a diploma in accountancy. Immediate availability and familiarity with Microsoft Navision will be advantageous. This position includes Monday to Friday working hours, from 9 AM to 6 PM.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in accounting.
  • Ability to start immediately.

Job description
Job Scope/Responsibilities

Full Set Accounts:

  • Monitor and oversee daily accounting transactions and activities
  • Ensure proper maintenance of the accounting books and records
  • Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and cost control procedures that compliance to company policies and regulations
  • Streamline accounting processes to enhance the departmental performance
  • Perform monthly closing and prepare financial statements and management reports
  • Responsible for fixed assets management, intercompany transactions and reconciliation, bank reconciliations, and journal entries
  • Responsible for vendor creation, processing of vendor invoices and payment, liaise with vendors for invoicing issues, reconciliation of expenses and monitoring payables aging
  • Ensure all sales and receipts are recorded and controlled accordingly, processing of invoices and refund, and monitoring receivables aging
  • Preparing sales commission according to company policies
  • Preparation and submission of GST
  • Organise and coordinate annual stock take
  • Assist in system implementation
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax agents to ensure audit, statutory and tax compliance
  • Assume any other suitable duties as and when assigned by the company
Requirements
  • Diploma in accountancy or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience
  • Able to start immediately
  • Microsoft Navision background would be advantageous

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am-6pm
