Job summary

NCS Group is seeking a Software Engineer in Singapore to support development, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise applications. You will analyze requirements, develop components, and work with project teams to ensure quality delivery.

The role requires 3+ years of Java experience, a CS/IT degree or equivalent, and strong English communication. Knowledge of government/enterprise environments is a plus, and ITIL/Agile certifications are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in developing and delivering application software.
• Relevant system development and maintenance experience using Java-related technologies.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Experience working in enterprise or government systems environments is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Analyse functional and technical requirements and translate into design and program specifications.
• Participate in system integration activities and technical discussions for end-to-end alignment.
• Collaborate with analysts, developers, testers and stakeholders to support project delivery.
• Support system testing activities, including system testing and UAT.
• Design, develop, test, enhance, and maintain application modules and components per standards.
• Support maintenance and defect resolution across development and post-implementation phases.
• Fix reported problems or bugs to ensure smooth production operation.
• Investigate errors and perform amendments and testing for correct operation.
• Prepare and maintain project and system documentation and artefacts for governance.
• Analyse requirements and translate into design using established methodologies.
• Participate in up-skilling workshops as required by Project Manager.
• Ensure codes comply with security guidelines.
