QUESS SELECTION & SERVICES PTE. LTD. is seeking a motivated Junior Java Developer to join our development team in Singapore. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience building Java-based applications alongside senior developers.

The position targets fresh graduates or those with up to 2 years of Java experience, providing exposure to SDLC processes, code reviews, and real-world project work. You’ll learn modern Java frameworks and contribute to quality software delivery.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 2 years of Java development experience.
• Basic understanding of Core Java, including: OOP, Collections Framework, Exceptions.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
• Familiarity with Spring Boot or Spring Framework is an advantage.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and basic coding practices.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a development team.
• Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, testing, maintaining, and enhancing Java-based applications.
• Write clean, efficient, reusable, and well-documented code under guidance of senior developers.
• Support application troubleshooting, bug fixing, and issue resolution.
