You will work with the equities research team to monitor markets, build and update financial models, and communicate theses to stakeholders. Prior Japan coverage and strong Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of equity research experience focusing on Japan.
• Strong fundamentals, valuation, and financial modelling skills.
• Proficient in Japanese for reviewing disclosures and reports.
• Excellent Excel-based modelling and data analysis capabilities.
• Proficient communication and ability to present research findings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fundamental research on Japanese companies, industries and sectors.
• Analyze financial statements, industry trends and macro developments.
• Build and update financial models covering earnings, cash flows and valuation metrics.
• Monitor performance of Japanese equities and assess developments.
• Develop and communicate investment theses and research recommendations.
• Attend conferences and briefings to gather market insights.
