Job summary

A leading consulting firm in Singapore seeks a Systems Engineer / IVVQ Engineer to support integration, verification, validation, and qualification of defense systems. The successful candidate will plan and manage IVVQ activities and ensure systems meet quality and delivery commitments. Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in engineering, strong IVVQ experience, and proficiency in Unix/Linux. This role requires independent work and collaboration with global teams, with occasional travel to Europe.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in IVV / IVVQ on large, integrated or defense systems.
  • Proven experience with defect management and requirements management tools.
  • Experience in functional, scenario, and automation testing.

Job description

We are looking for aSystems Engineer / IVVQ Engineerto support theintegration, verification, validation, and qualification (IVVQ)of large, complex defense and mission-critical systems. You will play a key role in ensuring systems meet requirements, quality standards, and delivery commitments.

What You’ll Do
  • Plan, execute, and supervise IVVQ activities across integrated systems
  • Define test strategies, scopes, and practices to optimize coverage and effort
  • Create and maintain system test plans, test cases, and test reports
  • Manage defects, engineering changes, risks, and test resources
  • Work closely with IVVQ managers, project engineers, and global teams
  • Contribute to estimations, planning, bid activities, and technical proposals
  • Travel to Europe approximately once every two months for on-site activities
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience
  • Strong IVV / IVVQ experience on large, integrated or defense systems
  • Solid knowledge of Unix / Linux / Android environments
  • Experience with defect management and requirements management tools
  • Strong test expertise: functional testing, scenario testing, automation
  • Proven ability to read requirements and translate them into test coverage
  • Comfortable troubleshooting software and hardware integration issues
  • Able to work independently and coordinate with distributed teams
Nice to Have
  • Experience in system integration across multiple subsystems and stakeholders
  • Exposure to configuration and deployment tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Puppet, Chef, scripting)
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle and hardware interfaces
  • Experience testing UI, networking, wireless, APIs, or communication systems
  • Versatility to support bids, work packages, and customer interactions
