Job summary

A leading diagnostic solutions provider is seeking an Engineer to support its product range in Singapore. Responsibilities include providing technical support to customers, planning corrective visits, and managing parts for local operations. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in Biomedical or Electronics Engineering and 3-5 years' experience in the medical devices field. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of relevant field service experience in In Vitro Diagnostics or medical devices.
  • Experience in handling of Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis products is a plus.
  • Must be able to provide technical support for IT products.

  • Plan corrective and preventive action visits for local customers.
  • Provide technical support to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Manage key accounts assigned and maintain spare parts.

Job description
Key Job Purpose

Engineer for Sysmex products for local market (SG). Responsible for all preventive and corrective support functions necessary to ensure high level of customer satisfaction with Sysmex’s range of products.

Job Responsibilities
  • Planning of corrective and preventive action visits for Sysmex’s Singapore customers
  • Provide technical support to local (SG) customers as needed to ensure customer needs are met
  • Adhere to procedures and processes to ensure department’s KPI are met
  • Report issues and customer feedbacks to his supervisor or regional support team on a monthly basis
  • Manage key accounts that are being assigned
  • Review and maintain spare parts in own c-location needed to support local operations
  • Provide 24hrs standby for local customers on a weekly rotational basis
  • Any other matter as request by team leader
Job Requirements
  • ITE or Diploma in Biomedical / Mechatronics / Electronics Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 3-5 years or more of relevant field service experience in In Vitro Diagnostics or medical devices
  • Experience in handling of Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis products an added advantage
  • Prefer to have experience in handling medical devices including troubleshooting and servicing
  • Must be PC literate and able to provide technical support for IT products
  • Competence in interactive communication, problem solving and decision making
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with ability to communicate complex technical/clinical content in an easy to understand manner
  • Conduct with professionalism with strong interpersonal skills and customer focused
  • Positive working attitude with a sense of urgency and result oriented
  • Able to work independently as well as an effective team player
