Qualifications

• Experience with distributed systems – VIOS/PowerVM.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced iSeries Technical Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise for IBM iSeries (AS/400) systems, including system administration, programming, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain IBM iSeries systems, including operating system upgrades and patches.
• Manage user profiles, security, and access controls.

Required Skills:

• 4+ years in IBM i & OS/400 Operating System Support.
• Install & Upgrade IBM i and related sofwares, IBM i software configurations, install & maintenance PTF/APAR management.
• Plan, Prepare & Execute complex Data migrations of same & different versions.
• Implementing and supporting IASPs (Independent Auxiliary Storage Pools).
• Implement of TCPIP application, protocols and services, Virtual IPs/Virtual Ethernets.
• Implement DCM, Secure socket layer / IP Securities.
• Backup and Recovery management using BRMS.
• Trouble shooting IBM i Operating system problems, Database, Files systems, Jobs, Work management, Security, Journal, ASP, Printing, Network, Journal and other software problems.
• OS/400 Security Management.
• Problem and Change Management process knowledge.
• Performance and Capacity Management using iDoctor/PM400.
• Basic CL programming.
• Perform Account Management
• Experience with distributed systems – VIOS/PowerVM. Linux operation systems is a bonus.
• Experience with IBM storage systems – IBM DS8K, IBM Storwise is a bonus.
• Experience with other IBM Middleware and Analytics products such as WMQ, WAS, Datapower, BPM, is a bonus.
