Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret client requirements to develop effective engineering designs and propose suitable technical solutions.
• Prepare and manage engineering documentation (VDRL), addressing client feedback promptly and accurately.
• Create preliminary design sketches and work with AutoCAD drafters to produce detailed engineering drawings.
• Ensure all designs adhere to relevant industry standards and best practices.
• Support technicians with equipment setup, cabinet integration, system configuration, and testing.
• Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and deliver in‑house technical training for clients and commissioning teams.
• Participate in other project‑related or ad‑hoc engineering tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma or higher in Telecommunications or a related engineering discipline.
• 4–5 years of experience in a similar role within industrial or marine sectors.
• Hands‑on experience with technologies such as IP Infrastructure, WiFi/WLAN, Firewall Security, IP-PABX, PAGA, CCTV, VCS, TETRA/DMR UHF/VHF Radio, GMDSS Radio, GEO/MEO/LEO VSAT, IPTV, Radar, and Gyrocompass systems.
• AutoCAD certification is an advantage.
• Experience with site commissioning or radio surveys (SOLAS/MODU) is preferred.
• Familiarity with tools such as CadnaA (PAGA), Ekahau (WiFi coverage), or iBwave (UHF/GSM coverage) is advantageous.
• Strong skills in documentation, coordination, and time management.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly to clients and suppliers.
• Capable of working independently and leading cross‑functional teams.
• Proactive, resourceful, and committed to meeting deadlines.
