We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Support Technician to provide first-line support for SMEs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and supporting infrastructure, including PCs, IPPBX systems, network equipment, and email clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- PC Support
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop and laptop hardware and software.
- Provide technical assistance to end-users for Windows OS, applications, and peripherals.
- Manage user accounts, profiles, and access permissions.
- IPPBX Support
- Maintain and troubleshoot IPPBX systems (e.g., extensions, call routing, voicemail).
- Coordinate with vendors for escalated issues or upgrades.
- Network Support
- Monitor and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, including routers, switches, and wireless access points.
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues and ensure network uptime and performance.
- Email Client Support
- Configure and support email clients (e.g., Outlook, Thunderbird) for end-users.
- Troubleshoot email delivery, synchronization, and access issues.
- PC Maintenance
- Perform routine maintenance such as software updates, disk cleanups, and antivirus scans.
- Maintain inventory of IT assets and ensure proper documentation.
Requirements:
- Higher NITEC, Diploma or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in IT support or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and email clients.
- Familiarity with IPPBX systems and basic networking concepts.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with VoIP systems (e.g., Asterisk, 3CX, Avaya).
- Basic knowledge of IT local area network.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent are a plus.
- Class 2 and Class 3 driving license is preferred.
