Job description

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Support Technician to provide first-line support for SMEs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and supporting infrastructure, including PCs, IPPBX systems, network equipment, and email clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • PC Support
    • Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop and laptop hardware and software.
    • Provide technical assistance to end-users for Windows OS, applications, and peripherals.
    • Manage user accounts, profiles, and access permissions.
  • IPPBX Support
    • Maintain and troubleshoot IPPBX systems (e.g., extensions, call routing, voicemail).
    • Coordinate with vendors for escalated issues or upgrades.
  • Network Support
    • Monitor and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, including routers, switches, and wireless access points.
    • Troubleshoot connectivity issues and ensure network uptime and performance.
  • Email Client Support
    • Configure and support email clients (e.g., Outlook, Thunderbird) for end-users.
    • Troubleshoot email delivery, synchronization, and access issues.
  • PC Maintenance
    • Perform routine maintenance such as software updates, disk cleanups, and antivirus scans.
    • Maintain inventory of IT assets and ensure proper documentation.
Requirements:
  • Higher NITEC, Diploma or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in IT support or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and email clients.
  • Familiarity with IPPBX systems and basic networking concepts.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with VoIP systems (e.g., Asterisk, 3CX, Avaya).
  • Basic knowledge of IT local area network.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent are a plus.
  • Class 2 and Class 3 driving license is preferred.
