A recruitment agency in Singapore is seeking an IT Support Officer to provide technical support for over 100 staff members. This entry-level position involves setting up devices, troubleshooting issues, and managing IT inventory. Ideal candidates will have knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and experience with iOS device setup. A diploma in IT or related fields and relevant certifications are preferred.
We are looking for a motivated and service-oriented individual to join our IT team as an IT Support Officer. This is an entry-level role focused on providing frontline technical support to over 100 staff members across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in IT systems and digital tools, enjoy problem-solving, and be eager to grow their skills within a dynamic and supportive environment.
Set up new laptops and desktops for end users (Windows).
Configure user profiles, network settings, and software.
Perform laptop formatting and OS reinstallation (on Windows 11).
Set up and configure iPhones for corporate use, including: Email setup, VPN configuration, MDM enrollment.
Decommissioning for offboarding employees such as formatting/wipe out data/retrieving company‑issued devices, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition process and documentation.
Perform basic hardware diagnostics and troubleshooting.
Restore iPhones to factory settings when required.
Replace basic components (RAM, SSD, battery) if trained.
Install and update commonly used software (Office 365, Zoom, Adobe, etc.).
Troubleshoot software issues and user access problems.
Track and update IT inventory (laptops, mobiles, accessories).
Assign and unassign equipment to users in inventory systems.
Conduct routine audits and reconcile physical assets with digital records.
Handle IT service desk tickets and resolve Level 1 issues.
Reset passwords, unlock accounts, and guide users through basic issues.
Provide remote support using tools like TeamViewer or Microsoft Quick Assist.
Enroll and manage devices using Microsoft Intune.
Apply configuration profiles, compliance policies, and app deployments.
Add and manage users and groups in Azure Active Directory.
Understand and implement Conditional Access basics.
Design and develop a modern SharePoint Site/Online intranet portal to meet organizational needs.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define site architecture, and plan content structure.
Build site templates, pages, libraries, lists, and workflows to support business processes and internal communications.
Ensure ongoing maintenance and updates of intranet content and functionality.
Manage site permissions, access controls, and user groups to ensure security and compliance.
Provide support and training to end‑users, content owners, and administrators.
Stay updated with Microsoft 365 and SharePoint enhancements to recommend improvements or new features.
Follow security best practices when handling data and credentials.
Support patching and endpoint protection tools (Defender, CrowdStrike, etc.).
Respond to phishing reports and escalate incidents appropriately.
Assist in enforcing MFA, password policies, and user security training.
Perform ad‑hoc duties/digitalized solutions and special assignments as directed by the supervisor, ensuring timely and accurate completion to support team and improve efficiency for corporate processes.
Knowledge of Windows OS, Windows 11 and Microsoft O365 products is a must.
Familiarity with iOS device setup and Apple ID management.
Ability to follow setup SOPs and checklists.
Documenting support cases and solutions.
Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Intune and Azure Active Directory.
Hands‑on experience with SharePoint online.
Knowledge of JIRA is a plus.
Good organizational skills to manage inventory and update records.
Cyber security awareness (basic threat identification, safe practices).
Willingness to elevate advanced issues to Level 2 or Security teams.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Minimum Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
Certification(s) such as: CompTIA A+ (for support fundamentals) / CompTIA Security+ or equivalent (for Cyber Security fundamentals) is plus.
Minimum 1–2 years experience in a helpdesk or IT support role.
