The IT Support Engineer is responsible for providing technical support across office and construction site operations, ensuring smooth IT performance and system reliability for all staff and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
1. User Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide timely on-site and remote IT support for all employees.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Assist users with email, printer, VPN, and internet connectivity problems.
2. Equipment Setup & Maintenance
- Prepare and configure laptops for new joiners.
- Maintain IT asset inventory and perform routine maintenance on hardware.
- Manage software installations, updates, and licensing compliance.
3. Server & Network Administration
- Monitor and maintain company servers, data backups, and network systems.
- Assist in system upgrades and ensure network security protocols are followed.
- Support and troubleshoot network connectivity at office and site locations.
4. Construction Site IT Support
- Set up and maintain site IT infrastructure (routers, switches, wireless access points).
- Oversee and troubleshoot site CCTV systems and GPS tracking devices.
- Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for IT equipment installation and maintenance at project sites.
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets, support requests, and resolutions.
- Prepare periodic IT performance and issue reports.
6. AI
- Develop AI and integrate with workflow, collection of data and datasets.
- Any other IT related tasks as assigned from time to time.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of IT support experience, preferably in construction or engineering industries.
- Strong technical knowledge in Windows OS, Microsoft 365, networking (LAN/WAN), and CCTV systems.
- Familiar with GPS tracking systems, server maintenance, and internet troubleshooting.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and travel to construction sites when required.
