Overview

Our client, a global leader in chemical manufacturing with a strong presence in Asia is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Specialist to join their team in Singapore.

Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on second-line technical support for hardware, software, and network issues both in person and remotely.
  • Ensure timely resolution of support tickets in line with priority levels and SLA commitments.
  • Maintain and manage core IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and security systems.
  • Lead the on-site rollout and implementation of global/regional IT projects.
  • Keep our meeting rooms and collaboration tech (AV systems, video conferencing, etc.) running flawlessly.
  • Install, configure, and update hardware and software for office and remote users.
  • Manage IT asset lifecycle: track hardware, software licenses, and equipment inventory.
  • Support employee onboarding with seamless IT setup and orientation.
  • Monitor and optimize network performance for maximum uptime and reliability.
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure top-tier IT service delivery.
  • Create and maintain clear IT documentation, policies, and procedures to boost efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 24 years of hands-on experience in IT support or a similar role.
  • Solid understanding of servers, networks, cybersecurity, and endpoint management.
  • Experience supporting AV equipment and video conferencing systems (e.g., Zoom Rooms, Teams Rooms, Crestron, etc.).
  • Fluency in both English and Mandarin (written and spoken) essential for user support and collaboration.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, customer service mindset, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks, work independently, and thrive under pressure.
  • Team player with excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Professional, or ITIL Foundation.
  • Experience working in multinational or matrixed environments.
