Job summary

NeerInfo Solutions seeks an Onshore IT Software Developer to design, develop, test, integrate, and maintain features across Angular frontend, Java Spring Boot backend, and MySQL database, using AI-assisted tools to boost efficiency and code quality.

You will build UIs, APIs, business logic, database schemas, and support deployment, testing, and documentation, participating in agile delivery and ensuring secure, scalable maintainable outcomes aligned with business needs.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of software developer/engineer experience, preferably in Agile projects.
• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
• Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages (i.e. Java/Python/.Net).
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines (Gitlab CI or similar) and modern development framework.
• Demonstrated ability to tackle complex, abstract programming challenges with creative solutions.
• Demonstrated experience in using AI-assisted tools to accelerate delivery of product features, improve test coverage, and support continuous product enhancement.
• Knowledge of application security and best practices in application development standards and methodologies.
• Experience in driving product development through Agile methodologies, leveraging SDLC and testing practices to iteratively deliver, validate and enhance product outcome.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, integrate, and maintain features across Angular frontend, Java Spring Boot backend and MySQL database.
• Build user interfaces, backend APIs and business logic, database schemas and queries, system integration, defect fixing, performance tuning, deployment support, and technical documentation.
• Develop and execute unit tests for frontend and backend modules, including AI-assisted techniques to improve test coverage.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure compliance with OWASP Secure Coding Practices.
• Support application build, packaging, and deployment activities across development, testing, and production environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues identified during development, testing, or production operation, leveraging AI-assisted diagnostics and analysis tools to improve resolution efficiency.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation including system design, API specifications, and database documentation.
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders, participate in agile delivery activities, and ensure delivered components are secure, scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business and technical requirements.
• Manage Tech Projects for systems operational and maintenance works together with new initiatives/enhancements that are outsourced to our existing ICT O&M contractors; and
• Collaborate with business & technology stakeholders, work closely with external parties, ICT providers or government agencies to drive new initiatives/enhancements.

Job description

The scope of Services for the Onshore IT Software Developer shall be as follows:

• a) Design, develop, test, integrate, and maintain application features across the Angular frontend, Java Spring Boot backend and MySQL database, leveraging AI-assisted development tools where appropriate to improve efficiency and code quality;
• b) Build user interfaces, backend APIs and business logic, database schemas and queries, system integration, defect fixing, performance tuning, deployment support, and technical documentation, with the support of AI-assisted tools to accelerate delivery and enhance consistency;
• c) Develop and execute unit tests for frontend and backend modules, including the use of AI-assisted techniques to improve test coverage and identify edge cases;
• d) Participate in code reviews and ensure compliance with the Authority’s coding standards and best practices (i.e. OWASP Secure Coding Practices);
• e) Support application build, packaging, and deployment activities across development, testing, and production environments;
• f) Troubleshoot and resolve application issues identified during development, testing, or production operation, leveraging AI-assisted diagnostics and analysis tools to improve resolution efficiency;
