Overview
We are seeking an IT Security Admin to protect and maintain the organization’s IT systems, networks, and data across multiple centers. The ideal candidate will implement security measures, manage networks and hardware, monitor cloud and on-premises systems, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and enforce IT security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Monitor networks, systems, and endpoints for security threats or breaches.
- Administer and monitor Azure cloud servers, and NAS storage systems, ensuring data availability and security.
- Manage user accounts, access permissions, and privileged accounts.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, risk analysis, and system hardening.
- Maintain Microsoft Defender, firewalls, antivirus solutions, intrusion detection systems, and other security tools.
- Collaborate with departments and stakeholders to understand security requirements and provide efficient solutions.
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of cybersecurity measures for network and hardware components.
- Act as a liaison with vendors during network-related projects, ensuring successful implementation and timely completion.
- Participate in procurement activities, including obtaining quotes, raising purchase requests (PRs), and managing payment processing.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of network equipment, hardware, and software licenses.
- Assist the department Head in planning and budgeting related to security tools and system initiatives.
- Generate security reports and maintain logs of security activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and desktop-related issues, primarily on Windows platforms, with familiarity in handling Apple devices.
- Perform other ad hoc IT tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant cybersecurity or network security and Microsoft Defender certifications are advantageous.
- Proven experience as an IT Security Admin or a similar role, with hands-on expertise in network management and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
- Proficient in Windows and Apple desktop support, hardware maintenance, and software installation.
- Experience with cloud environments (Azure), Windows servers, NAS storage, and network security practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal departments and external vendors.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and trends in the network and hardware landscape.
