Responsibilities
- Create an evaluation report of the service or product with recommendations.
- Develop and test disaster recovery plan according to the specifications to ensure effectiveness.
- Establish review procedures based on the organisation’s security risk management plan.
- Establish the functional requirements of the organisational needs.
- Evaluate risks and threats to the organisation.
- Identify resources to provide equipment and software maintenance.
- Identify the IT services and infrastructure needed to support the critical business systems.
- Identify vendor services and products available.
- Implement maintenance procedures.
- Implement solutions based on the gaps identified in service and maintenance services.
- Recommend plans and resource implications for corrective action.
- Record information related to attacks, threats, risks and controls in a security plan.
- Review business and security environment to identify existing needs.
- Review current maintenance services to identify maintenance options.
- Review current operational procedures to ensure adequate risk safeguards and backup plans are in place.
- Select existing security measures for testing.
- Set up a checklist for vendor services and products selection based on business requirements, budget and resources.
