Job summary

Educare Global Academy (EGA) in Singapore is seeking an IT & AI Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching for diploma, advanced diploma and UK degree programmes. The role requires proficiency in modern IT fundamentals, applied AI technologies and engaging pedagogies, with responsibilities spanning lectures, labs, assessments, mentoring and curriculum development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Machine Learning or related computing disciplines.
• ACLP (Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance) or relevant Singapore adult teaching certifications is a strong advantage.
• Minimum 2 years of teaching IT/AI or computing-related modules, preferably in Singapore private education institutions or adult/vocational training environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and practical labs for IT and AI programmes across Diploma/Advanced Diploma and UK degree programmes.
• Cover core topics: IT systems, networking, databases, programming, ML basics, NLP, AI analytics, and applied AI use cases.
• Prepare lesson plans, slides, labs, learning materials and assessments aligned with syllabus and standards.
• Design, administer and grade continuous assessments, projects and final exams; provide feedback.
• Maintain accurate student records and ensure regulatory compliance; monitor progress and provide counselling.
• Collaborate on curriculum updates and new AI/IT workshops; ensure relevance to industry demands.
• Mentor students and support orientation, events and industry engagement.
• Adhere to academic policies and participate in teaching quality reviews and staff training.

We are seeking a passionate, experienced IT & AI Lecturer todeliver high-quality teaching for our IT and AI programmes. The ideal candidate will be proficient in modern IT fundamentals, applied AI technologies, and teaching pedagogies.

Key Job Responsibilities

1. Teaching & Programme Delivery

• Deliver lectures, practical lab sessions for IT and Artificial Intelligence programmes, including Diploma and Advanced Diploma and Degree programmes in Applied Artificial Intelligence and Computing courses.
• Cover core curriculum topics including fundamental IT systems, computer networking, database management, programming, machine learning basics, natural language processing, AI analytics, and applied AI industry use cases.
• Adopt learning pedagogies and interactive teaching methods to engage local and international students, accommodate diverse learning paces and enhance practical hands-on learning outcomes.
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching slides, practical lab guides, learning materials and assessment resources aligned with programme syllabus and institutional academic standards.

2. Assessment & AcademicEvaluation

• Design, administer and grade continuous assessments, practical assignments, projects and final examinations for IT and AI modules.
• Provide timely constructive feedback to students on academic performance, technical skills improvement and project deliverables.
• Maintain accurate student academic records, attendance logs and assessment documentation in compliance with Singapore private education regulatory requirements.
• Monitor student learning progress, identify at-risk learners and conduct one-on-one academic counselling to support student retention and success.

3. Curriculum Development & Programme Enhancement

• Review and update existing IT and AI course syllabi regularly to integrate latest industry trends, emerging AI technologies and real-world digital transformation applications.
• Collaborate with the academic team to upgrade module content, develop new practical workshops, industry case studies and capstone project guidelines for AI and IT programmes.
• Ensure curriculum relevance to current tech industry demands, bridging academic learning and professional industry practices for students’ future career progression.

4. Student Mentorship & AcademicSupport

• Serve as a mentor for students undertaking IT and AI programmes, guiding them in academic learning, technical skill building and capstone project completion.
• Support student orientation, academic events and industry engagement activities organised by the academy.

5. Institutional Compliance & Professional Development

• Adhere to school’s academic policies, code of conduct and Singapore’s private education regulatory standards
• Participate in institutional academic meetings, teaching quality reviews, peer lesson observations and staff training sessions.
• Continuously upgrade personal technical knowledge in AI, IT systems and adult teaching methodologies to maintain high teaching quality.

Required Qualifications & Requirements

• Academic Qualification: Bachelor’sDegree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Machine Learning or related computing disciplines.
• Professional Certification (Highly Preferred): ACLP (Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance) or relevant Singapore adult teaching certifications is a strong advantage.
• Teaching Experience: Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in IT, AI or computing-related modules, preferably in Singapore private education institutions, adult education or vocational training environments.
