A leading global firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Manager to oversee governance and risk management of global IT infrastructure systems. The ideal candidate should have at least 10 years of proven experience managing both on-premises and cloud infrastructure, along with strong leadership and problem-solving skills. Job description

Primary job responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Governance and risk management of global IT infrastructure systems
  • Holistic ownership of network, cybersecurity and server / storage / backup and structured cabling infrastructure including overall design architecture, as part of a core team reporting to the Operations Manager
  • Understanding the wider core business ensuring best fit for purpose IT infrastructure, systems and processes, recommending and delivering pragmatic, value-based solutions
  • Ensure appropriate environmental controls including mains and backup electrical power, air‑conditioning, fire systems, are incorporated into all aspects of on‑premises server rooms
  • Develop strategies and procedures for securing IT infrastructure and data
  • Plan and execute system upgrades and maintenance tasks, including network configuration, installation of new hardware and software, and manage account access
  • Oversee the daily operations of the IT department and ensure that systems, services, and infrastructure work reliably and securely
  • Lead a team of IT professionals, provide guidance, and manage their performance including contact availability of appropriate technical resources
  • Maintain information management with latest IT technologies and issues including regulatory changes, advancements in technology, and trends in customer requirements
  • Maintain and administer computer networks, systems, databases, and related environments ensuring systems uptime of 99.5% with no unplanned outages
  • Design and implement disaster recovery plans and ensure data is backed up
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues
  • Manage relationships with vendors and negotiate contracts for IT services
  • Prepare and maintain documentation of network configurations and cabling layouts
  • Develop, implement, and manage projects that align with company goals and objectives

Candidates should ideally possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree, specialising in information technology, mathematics or similar
  • Minimum 10 years proven experience as an IT Infrastructure Manager managing both on-premises and cloud infrastructure
  • Experience in sourcing, evaluating and specifying IT infrastructure, product and tender analysis, implementation, and ongoing maintenance
  • Experience in building, controlling and monitoring global IT budgets
  • Experience in managing internal and external IT security audits
  • Sound understanding of complexed infrastructure, resourceful, proactive, and a strong problem solver, calm and measured in managing disasters
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and possess good time management skills
  • A team player who is also able to work independently as well as able to multi-task
