IT Infrastructure Engineer

Permanent position (working on Banking project)

AWS + Variable Bonus Provided

Working location: CBD area

Working hours: 5 days work week Office hours (9 am to 5 45 pm)

Job Summary

You will be part of the operations and maintenance team (Department Size: 20 to 30 people), responsible for ensuring the stable functioning of the customer’s internal systems and servers. You will coordinate with vendors on hardware and software maintenance contracts and handle renewals as needed. You will also propose improvements to operational efficiency to the Team Head. Along with other team members, you will serve as a liaison between the customer’s Head Office and the Singapore Branch for operational matters.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure that the system configuration complies with the customer's security guidelines at the time of audit.
• Analyse functional requirements and reflect changes to the system following the established guidelines.
• Work with the team leader to ensure that the system configuration conforms to design standards and that the design meets functional and system requirements.
• Effectively handle daily user inquiries related to servers, networks, PCs, and user accounts. For system issues, perform recovery actions or workarounds, investigate the root causes, and propose improvement measures. Create and maintain up-to-date system documentation, including the system runbook, IT inventory list, ID management list, and system parameter sheets.
• Identify system issues and work to improve the system.
• Develop operation and maintenance procedure manuals for knowledge transfer to team members, and ensure all management documents are kept up to date.

Job Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in IT, Computer Science or equivalent fields.
• Experience in building Windows server environments, including server deployment, application installation, and handing over the system to the application team.
• Experience in Windows Client Provisioning & Support
• Operation and maintenance of VMware (vCenter, ESXi)
• Operation and maintenance of infrastructure tools (Backup, Monitoring, Anti-Virus, Job management etc) as Tier2 and Tier3 level
• Understanding Microsoft 365 (Forms, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Office)
• Experience in Network configuration (ACL, Firewall). Experience in system engineering and operation (Plan, Build, Run & Optimize)
• Knowledge of IT Service Management will be highly preferable
• Skilled in scripting language (e.g. Power shell, Python) will be advantageous

Good to have

1. Application Development experience using Power Apps & Power Automate. Experience in Cloud Services (Azure, AWS). Experience in Database (SQL Server, etc)

2. Japanese language skills are added advantage for communication with Japanese speaking internal and external stakeholders
