A technology services firm in Singapore is seeking an IT Executive to support IT infrastructure and systems, manage hardware and network operations, and ensure smooth operations for end-users. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of IT support experience, strong knowledge of windows and networking, and the ability to work independently in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

Job Overview

We are looking for a proactive and hands‑on IT Executive to support our IT infrastructure, systems, and production technologies. The role involves maintaining hardware and network operations, managing system administration, supporting manufacturing IT systems, and ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations for end‑users.

Key Responsibilities
1. IT Infrastructure Support
  • Maintain and troubleshoot hardware such as PCs, printers, barcode scanners, and related devices.
  • Support network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, switches, routers, Wi‑Fi).
  • Ensure stable performance of servers and data storage (file servers, domain controllers).
2. System Administration
  • Manage user accounts, email, Active Directory, and file permissions.
  • Monitor and strengthen IT security, including antivirus, firewalls, and data protection policies.
  • Perform regular data backups and maintain disaster recovery readiness.
3. Manufacturing / Production System Support
  • Provide technical support for MES, ERP, and factory‑specific systems.
  • Troubleshoot machine‑to‑PC communication (e.g., PLCs, IoT devices).
  • Minimize production downtime by ensuring high system uptime.
4. Software & Application Support
  • Install, configure, and maintain business software and applications.
  • Provide end‑user technical support and training when needed.
  • Coordinate with software vendors for updates, bug fixes, and implementations.
5. IT Policies & Compliance
  • Implement and enforce IT policies, data protection measures, and access controls.
  • Support compliance requirements (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001).
6. User Support & Training
  • Act as the first point of contact for IT‑related issues.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on system usage.
7. Reporting & Documentation
  • Maintain accurate IT asset inventory.
  • Prepare reports, maintenance logs, and update IT documentation.
  • Support audits and compliance reviews.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 1–3 years’ experience in IT support, networking, or system administration.
  • Experience in a manufacturing / factory environment is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    Windows OS (client & server)
    Networking (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, switches, routers, Wi‑Fi)
    PC setup and troubleshooting
    Basic server administration (Active Directory, file sharing, backup)
    IT security (antivirus, firewalls, access control)
  • Familiar with ERP/MES systems and factory hardware (printers, scanners, barcode devices).
  • Good analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for end‑user support.
  • Independent, resourceful, and adaptable to new systems/technologies.
  • Willing to provide on‑site production support and occasionally work after‑hours or weekends during system downtime.
