Position Overview
The IT Enterprise Architect is responsible for designing, reviewing, and optimizing the organization’s overall IT application and infrastructure landscape. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in assessing current systems, identifying opportunities for improvement, and recommending solutions that align technology capabilities with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Review existing IT applications and infrastructure to evaluate performance, scalability, security, and alignment with organizational needs.
- Develop and maintain enterprise architecture frameworks that ensure consistency and integration across systems.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and future goals.
- Identify areas for modernization, consolidation, or replacement of systems and platforms.
- Prepare detailed reports outlining findings, risks, and recommendations for improvement.
- Lead the development of long-term IT roadmaps and architectural strategies to support growth and innovation.
- Provide guidance on technology standards, best practices, and emerging trends to ensure robust and scalable solutions.
- Support the implementation of architectural recommendations in partnership with technical and vendor teams.
- Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and operational requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of IT experience, including at least 5 years in enterprise architecture or a similar field.
- Proven expertise in assessing large-scale IT applications and infrastructure environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make actionable recommendations.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman.
- Solid understanding of cloud computing, on-premises infrastructure, integration, and security practices.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging senior stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect) are advantageous.
