Job description

Responsibilities

To manage the overall IT operational environment—network systems, development, and IT security—and ensure compliance with technology policies and procedures as required by the bank’s regulations. The role focuses 60% on management (primarily reporting and liaison with Japan HQ) and 40% on hands‑on duties.

• Network Infrastructure
  • 24/7 monitoring and management of LAN, WAN, and firewall environments, including fault isolation, performance tuning, and incident response.
  • Maintain network diagrams, segmentation, and device configurations (switches, routers, IDS/IPS, firewalls).
  • Coordinate with HQ IT for standards alignment, lead branch and HQ network projects, and manage IT asset refreshes.
• IT Development
  • Lead EUC development projects—managing team, schedules, change requests, and tool licensing.
  • Facilitate developer–business communication and oversee database performance and maintenance.
• IT Security
  • Ensure timely compliance with technology regulations and maintain the IT risk management framework, advising business units on system risks.
  • Lead vulnerability management and cybersecurity controls—including training—to protect branch network and data integrity.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of infrastructure and system security management experience, preferably in the banking sector or a similarly regulated industry.
• Management experience leading a team.
• Proficiency in English and Japanese to liaise with internal and external Japanese‑speaking stakeholders and clients.
• Experience with IT risk management frameworks, preferably in the banking sector or a similarly regulated industry.
• In‑depth technical knowledge of network PCs and platform operating systems.
• Management skills and experience in IT projects.
