About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and qualified ISO and FSSC 22000 Lead Auditor to join our team. The successful candidate will perform food safety management system audits for clients across food manufacturing, processing, logistics, and related industries. This role ensures organizations meet FSSC 22000 and other relevant regulatory and certification requirements, while supporting continuous improvement in food safety practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, conduct, and report ISO/FSSC 22000 certification and surveillance audits in accordance with accreditation and scheme requirements.
- Assess the effectiveness of food safety management systems including PRPs, HACCP, operational control, documentation, and compliance with statutory & regulatory requirements.
- Review audit findings and evaluate corrective action plans to ensure timely closure of non-conformities.
- Prepare accurate and comprehensive audit reports that reflect audit conclusions and compliance status.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge on GFSI standards, emerging food safety issues, and regulatory updates.
- Provide professional guidance to clients on system improvements while maintaining impartiality and audit ethics.
- Participate in internal calibration, auditor evaluations, and continuous professional development programs.
- Support training activities and pre-audit readiness assessments when required.
Requirements
- FSSC 22000 Lead Auditor qualification (completed recognized IRCA/Exemplar Global Lead Auditor Course in ISO 22000).
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant auditing or food safety management experience.
- Strong understanding of:
- ISO 22000:2018
- FSSC 22000 Version 6
- HACCP / Codex Alimentarius
- Food safety regulatory requirements (AVA/SFA, NEA etc. in Singapore)
- Experience in sectors such as food manufacturing, beverages, cold chain logistics, or packaging is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical mindset with ability to identify risks and propose practical improvements.
- Willingness to travel locally and regionally for audit assignments.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and independence.
