Job summary

A recruitment agency in Singapore is looking for a qualified professional to lead the design and development of iron ore futures. The role requires at least a degree in Finance or a related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience in commodities markets, particularly iron ore and metals. Responsibilities include conducting market research, building product roadmaps, and engaging various stakeholders. Competitive compensation and working hours from 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Minimum Degree or above in Finance, Economics, business or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in commodities markets, preferably in iron ore and metals.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design and development of physical deliverable iron ore futures.
• Conduct market research to identify user needs and demand potential.
• Build the product roadmap, including enhancements and new contract variants.
• Engage with stakeholders to validate product design and gain adoption.
• Present product concepts and updates to internal and external parties.
• Develop relationships with market participants to increase liquidity.
• Define and oversee the design of physical delivery processes.
• Work closely with various teams to ensure robust delivery workflows.
• Establish criteria for approved brands and inspection agencies.
• Develop go-to-market strategies including pricing and marketing.
• Monitor key performance metrics and propose improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design and development of physical deliverable iron ore futures, including contract specifications, delivery mechanisms, quality standards, and settlement processes
• Conduct market research to identify user needs, demand potential, and competitive positioning
• Build the product roadmap, including enhancements, new contract variants, and ecosystem features
• Engage with miners, steel mills, traders, brokers, financial institutions, logistics providers, and clearing members to validate product design and gain adoption
• Present product concepts and updates to internal committees, external partners, and regulatory authorities
• Develop relationships with market participants to increase liquidity and market depth
• Define and oversee the design of physical delivery processes: delivery method (FOB/CFR), assay procedures, delivery documentation, quality/grade parameters, shipping terms, and logistics coordination
• Work closely with risk, clearing, operations, and legal teams to ensure robust delivery and settlement workflows
• Establish criteria for approved brands, warehouses, and inspection agencies
• Develop and execute go-to-market strategies including pricing, marketing, liquidity incentives, and educational content
• Monitor key performance metrics such as open interest, volume, delivery rates, participant diversity, and revenue contribution.
• Propose improvements based on market feedback and competitive analysis
