Job Description
Contribute to and support the Architecture, Technical Scope of Work (SOW) and Solution Description for the Customer project. Assist internal teams from offer commencement through to final solution delivery and acceptance by the customer. Establish the agreed contractual System Requirements. Develop an end‑to‑end Architecture and Design that meets the specifications, time to market, and product/quality constraints.
How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
Pre‑sales Phase
- Assist Business Development with the following:
- Pre‑determine a Physical and Logical Solution Architecture; partition and allocate system requirements and functionality to the architecture; analyze and evaluate alternative solutions; define subsystems and system elements and requirements.
- Identify key technical risks and issues and develop mitigation plans.
- Provide key inputs for technical decisions relating to system requirements and system architecture/design.
Project Execution Phase
- System/Solution Requirements Development.
- Identify key use cases; agree on key acceptance criteria.
- Derive products and solution requirements in line with the SOW and solution description while being fully coordinated with project management, design and deployment teams; perform requirements designation and importance analysis; perform verifiability analysis; perform risk analysis.
- Develop end‑to‑end Solution Architecture and support to High‑Level Design for multiple technology domains.
- Determine a Physical and Logical Solution Architecture; partition and allocate system requirements and functionality to the architecture; analyze and evaluate alternative solutions; define subsystems and system elements and requirements.
- Provide and review HLD/LLD/Interface Specification.
- Proactively identify and address technical risks; in cooperation with the PM/TPM conduct risk assessments on the project and all suppliers; execute mitigation strategies to limit impact; support risk exposure reporting (cost, schedule, other); and escalating as appropriate.
- Review roadmap alignment with the solution to be implemented with PLM engagement.
- Maintain traceability between requirement sets (Customer, System, Subsystems and System Elements), traceable to architecture and design documents, and support verification activities.
- Accountable for the technical accuracy of the design solution (as defined in the SA&HLD, etc.) and the resulting implementation.
- Assist with technical delivery of the end‑to‑end project – design implementation to acceptance.
Key Skills And Experience
- Engineering Bachelor with 12 years of experience in the telecom industry, dealing with IP‑MPLS, BNG technologies.
- Knowledgeable/experienced in designing and delivering Residential Broadband solutions such as BNG, BNS CUPS, FWA‑BNG, CGNAT, WAG etc.
- Detailed understanding of IP/MPLS, SRv6, Segment Routing, BGP‑EVPN concepts and related technologies.
- Knowledgeable on Virtualization, SDN & NFV, Cloud, SDN concepts and related technologies.
- Knowledgeable on Network Management Systems, networking concepts and related technologies.
- Excellent in designing end‑to‑end Mobile Networks, Backhaul and Core Solutions and Concepts.
- Knowledgeable on Data Center Fabric and DC automation.
- Strong Linux/Unix shell and datacenter networking knowledge.
- Hands‑on experience including design, build, deploy, troubleshooting & fault‑finding, etc.
- Knowledge on 4G/5G mobile Core deployments.
- Fluency in English – written and verbal communication.
- Singapore citizen or permanent residence.
It would be nice if you also had:
- Kubernetes, VMWare ESXi, vCloud/vCenter, OpenStack, CloudStack, OpenFlow, KVM, Xen, Hyper‑V skill is a plus.
- Nokia IP Router portfolio – 7x50 XRS/SR/ES, 7250 IXR and 7705/7210 portfolio.
- Nokia Broadband Network Gateway (BNG) solution.
- Nokia SRA/Virtuoso, Cisco CCIE, Juniper JNCIE or equivalent certification are a plus.
- RHEL/CentOS, Ubuntu, Java, Python/Perl is a plus.
