Job Description
- Management of network incident escalations from L1/L2, incident and problem and security incident response.
- Responsible to work with the respective infra tower teams in troubleshooting and identify root cause, related to network.
- Responsible to work with the respective network vendors’ support teams for troubleshooting, identification and resolution of network problems.
- Handling of the critical network incidents under pressure situations to resolve in a timely manner to minimize the business impact.
- Attend conference calls with other support teams for problem identification and resolutions.
- Must have good communication skills and be able to work independently.
- Must adhere to process and policies of the Customer.
- Change process management of both Customer and Huawei alignment.
- Day‑to‑day configuration as required by the customer on Huawei devices.
- Perform insight on the customer network.
- Perform preventive maintenance, monitoring each task and providing reports to the customer on preventive maintenance checks and follow‑up actions.
- Maintain relationship with the customer and advise on technical issues they might be facing.
- Work as a team with all TDs to provide a resolution on technical problems they might be facing.
- Work under pressure and with minimal supervision.
Qualification and Necessary Skillset
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science.
- In-depth understanding of networking concepts – routing, switching, WLAN/LAN/WAN, Spanning Tree Protocol, HSRP, ARP, VLAN, Inter‑VLAN routing, OSPF, BGP, etc.
- Hands‑on experience on routers and switches for basic troubleshooting of network‑related problems and incidents.
- Advanced hands‑on experience on troubleshooting complex network problems.
- Logical thinking and problem analysis skills to troubleshoot complex network problems, isolate root cause and provide suitable resolution.
- Knowledge of advanced network technologies such as VXLAN, Cisco ACI, VXLAN BGP eVPN, SDA, SD‑WAN will be added advantage.
- Understanding of data center network technology and willingness to learn.
