Job description
Company / Role Overview

This role sits within a global financial services group undergoing a multi-year transformation of its finance, investment, and data capabilities. As part of a specialised investment management change programme, the Investment Performance Solution Lead will drive the delivery of a new enterprise-wide investment performance and attribution reporting capability. The position operates at the intersection of project management, business analysis, data governance, and investment operations—working closely with internal investment teams, technology partners, and external solution vendors to define requirements, validate designs, transition existing reporting processes, and ensure the smooth adoption of the new platform across multiple business units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of the new investment performance and attribution reporting solution, ensuring it provides consistent, granular, and decision-ready insights for investment stakeholders.
  • Manage the transition from legacy performance monitoring processes to the new strategic investment data platform, including migration planning, cutover coordination, and process redesign.
  • Own the integrated project plan, aligning activities across internal investment teams, technology groups, external vendors, and regional business units.
  • Facilitate requirement gathering, documentation, and validation, ensuring functional and non-functional needs are clearly defined and aligned to solution capabilities.
  • Review and validate solution designs with external vendors and internal teams to ensure accuracy, data integrity, and compatibility with existing systems and workflows.
  • Define and document future-state operating processes, controls, roles, and governance structures to support sustainable and scalable performance reporting operations.
  • Oversee vendor-led testing and coordinate business user validation, ensuring performance and attribution outputs meet quality standards and are ready for deployment.
  • Track and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, driving timely escalation and resolution to maintain delivery momentum.
  • Support change management efforts, including user training, communication materials, and transition planning for impacted teams across the group.
Job Requirements
Core must-haves:
  • Strong understanding of investment management concepts, ideally gained in an asset management or insurance-linked investment environment.
  • At least 8 years’ experience in project management and business analysis roles within financial services.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver multi-stakeholder solutions involving external vendors and cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with investment performance and attribution methodologies, workflows, and reporting practices.
  • High proficiency in interpreting complex investment data sets and applying data governance principles to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Strong capability in requirements gathering, process mapping, solution validation, and documentation of future-state operating models.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence, collaborate, and manage conversations across investment, finance, and technology teams.
  • Proactive, hands‑on working style with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Nice-to-have:
  • Experience with institutional investment platforms or performance systems used by asset managers or large insurers.
  • Background in vendor selection or solution design for investment reporting platforms.
  • Exposure to similar finance‑transformation or data‑modernisation programmes.
  • Familiarity with performance systems used in large regional insurers or global asset managers (e.g., candidates from large insurers or asset‑management houses using enterprise investment platforms are relevant).
