Job description
About Us

We are a dynamic private equity firm focused on renewable infrastructure, private equity, and M&A transactions. Our team operates across multiple jurisdictions, managing complex deals and ensuring seamless execution of investments. We value pragmatism, efficiency, and adaptability, and we are looking for an Investment & Operations Analyst who can support our operational functions in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

About the Role

This role supports the Principal (Legal & Investments) across investment execution, restructuring, asset management, and fund operations. You will assist in both new transactions and special-situation work — including restructurings, recoveries, and workouts involving portfolio companies and fund investments.

The position requires strong analytical judgment, discipline in documentation, and a structured approach to problem-solving. You will gain hands-on exposure to the mechanics of private equity, M&A, and renewable infrastructure investing, working directly on live transactions and ongoing asset management initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Transaction & Legal Support

  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and proofing legal and commercial documents (NDAs, investment agreements, corporate filings, resolutions, etc.).

  • Support due diligence coordination and data-room management.

  • Track transaction conditions, signatures, and post-closing deliverables.

Governance & Compliance

  • Maintain corporate registers, trackers, and internal approvals.

  • Assist in drafting investment committee memorandums and resolutions, filings, and internal reporting packs.

  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of compliance and document-control systems.

Operational & Analytical Support

  • Maintain internal trackers for investments, budgets, and reporting deadlines.

  • Liaise with external service providers (lawyers, accountants, company secretaries).

  • Assist in shaping and carrying out legal, regulatory, market, and investigative research strategies relating to transactions, counterparties, or portfolio assets.

General Assistance

  • Support ad-hoc requests from the Principal and senior management.

  • Help streamline recurring tasks, document templates, and workflows.

  • Prepare concise summaries, comparison tables, and reference materials for ongoing projects.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in business, finance, law, accounting, or a related field.

  • 0–3 years of experience in a role involving transaction support, corporate administration, investment operations, legal documentation, or compliance.

  • Prior exposure to private equity, M&A, restructuring, or special-situations work is advantageous but not required.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong drafting and proofreading ability.

  • High level of discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational discipline.

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and respond flexibly to changing priorities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management tools.

  • Prior exposure to corporate governance, legal documentation, or investment-related work is a plus.

  • Strong willingness to learn and improve.

  • Japanese language proficiency is a bonus but not essential

What We Offer

  • Exposure to high-level investment, restructuring, and M&A work, particularly in renewable infrastructure and private equity, across various jurisdictions.

  • Flat and fast-moving environment with direct access to senior legal and investment professionals.

  • Significant learning and development opportunities, with hands-on involvement across transactions, restructurings, and governance processes.

  • The opportunity to work on meaningful and complex transactions in a sector shaping the energy transition.
