Job summary

Lighthouse Executives is seeking an experienced Investment Manager to join the investment team and take responsibility for origination, evaluation and execution of renewable energy investments across Southeast and South Asia.

The senior role involves leading transactions through the full lifecycle—from sourcing and due diligence to structuring and financial close—with ownership and direct exposure to senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years of relevant experience in infrastructure M&A or private equity.
• Proven track record of completed renewable energy M&A transactions or platform investments.
• Direct transaction experience in utility-scale Solar PV and BESS.
• Experience leading transactions through full investment lifecycle.
• Strong financial modelling and valuation capabilities (project finance, DCF, LBO).
• Knowledge of PPAs, EPC, O&M and land arrangements.
• Experience coordinating external advisors.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; CFA/MBA advantageous.

• Structure transactions (asset, share acquisitions, joint ventures) and negotiate agreements.
• Support integration of acquired assets and monitor portfolio performance.

Investment Manager | Solar PV & BESS | Southeast & South Asia

Lighthouse Executives is supporting the expansion of a new energy investment platform backed by a leading global heavy industry organisation.

The platform is building a dedicated renewable energy investment business across Southeast and South Asia, with a focus on utility scale Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems and renewable energy platforms.

We are seeking an experienced Investment Manager to join the investment team and take responsibility for the origination, evaluation and execution of renewable energy investments across the region.

This is a senior investment role with meaningful transaction ownership. The successful candidate will be involved across the full investment lifecycle, from sourcing and initial evaluation through due diligence, structuring, negotiation and financial close.

Key Responsibilities:

Investment Origination and Execution

• Originate and evaluate brownfield utility scale Solar PV and BESS investment opportunities, as well as renewable energy developer platforms
• Lead transactions from initial opportunity assessment and NBO through binding offers, negotiations and financial close
• Coordinate legal, technical, financial, tax and other external advisors throughout the transaction process
• Identify key commercial, operational, regulatory and financial risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies

Valuation and Financial Analysis

• Review and develop project finance and corporate valuation models, including DCF and LBO analysis
• Conduct detailed investment analysis and sensitivity testing across tariffs, curtailment, regulatory changes, foreign exchange and other key assumptions
• Prepare investment papers and recommendations for senior management and investment committee approval

Transaction Structuring and Negotiation

• Evaluate appropriate transaction structures, including asset acquisitions, share acquisitions, joint ventures and minority or majority investments
• Work closely with legal counsel on SPAs, SHAs, financing documentation and other transaction agreements
• Assess existing PPAs, EPC agreements, O&M arrangements, land leases and other commercial contracts associated with target assets

Post Investment

• Support the integration and onboarding of acquired assets and platforms in partnership with asset management and operations teams
• Monitor key investment considerations and work with internal stakeholders to support the long term performance of the portfolio

Profile requirements:

The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record in renewable energy investment and infrastructure transactions.

• At least 8-10+ years of relevant experience in infrastructure M&A, private equity, investment banking, corporate development or a closely related investment environment
• Proven track record of completed renewable energy M&A transactions or platform investments
• Direct transaction experience in utility scale Solar PV and preferably BESS
• Demonstrated experience leading transactions through the full investment lifecycle, including origination, due diligence, valuation, negotiation and financial close
• Strong financial modelling and valuation capabilities, including project finance, DCF and LBO modelling
• Strong understanding of renewable energy commercial arrangements, including PPAs, EPC contracts, O&M agreements and land arrangements
• Experience working with and managing external legal, technical, financial and tax advisors
• Strong understanding of transaction documentation, including SPAs, SHAs and project financing documentation
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering or a related discipline
• CFA qualification or an MBA from a leading institution would be advantageous
