We are one of the leading Independent Wealth Advisors in Asia Pacific. We are dedicated towards providing investment advice free of conflict of interest by ensuring we represent our client interests to various banks and financial institutions.

We are now seeking an Investment Analyst Trainee to join our team of Investment Counsellors (IC).

The role offers immense opportunity for growth and self-development within a rapidly growing business environment for candidates looking to establish a career within the wealth management industry in the space of investment counselling, research and analytics.

The role necessitates close alignment with the core advisory and wealth management activities of the Firm and thus offers significant scope for learning and aspiring to front office career opportunities over time.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support to the Firm’s business development efforts, by working with the ICs to prepare related material (such as pitch books, preliminary analyses, market commentaries, and presentation decks for webinar and quarterly outlook)
  • Support the ICs with investment initiatives and client related tasks such as investment proposal generation, reviewing and analyzing investment information of prospects, account reviews, translations of marketing materials, and preparation of investment ideas
  • Support the ICs in assimilating and reviewing relevant information to conduct research and analyses, and to draft trade and portfolio recommendations in a client ready format
  • Support the ICs in maintaining and updating tools used to track performance of recommended trades and models including administrative support for the conduct of the Investment Committee
  • Maintenance of marketing materials (such as marketing decks and factsheets) for Funds and Certificates that are advised or managed by the Firm including periodic update of performance statistics and related content
  • Keep up-to date with global markets and macro trends, providing investment updates to the team internally. The candidate should be fully conversant with and adept at extracting relevant data and analytics from available sources in use by the Firm
  • Actively review and curate communications issued by the Banks and Research Houses from which the Company sources research and recommendations. Support Financial Advisors in responding to reverse enquiries received from clients relating to such research and recommendations
  • Support the Head of the IC Team in administering ongoing and ad hoc initiatives and projects such as maintaining a Firm wide tracker of advancement of business development initiatives, scheduling and conduct of Client Portfolio reviews, tracking adoption and efficacy of recommendations made by the Firm, etc.
  • Introduce and promote digitization and optimization of existing procedures to improve workflow and increase company-wide efficiency.
  • Ensure strict adherence to the Company’s policies, rules & regulations
Requirements
  • Degree in Banking/Business/Economics/Engineering/Finance/Mathematics. Progress toward the CFA/CAIA is a preferred.
  • Passion and interest in global financial markets
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint skills. Coding skills (Python, R etc.) a plus.
  • Positive attitude with a strong desire to learn is paramount.
  • High standards of ethics and conduct; ensures confidentiality of Clients’ assets & information
  • Fosters team work and positively contributes towards the dynamics of the team and the quality of its output.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
