Job summary

A large local asset management firm in Singapore is seeking an Investment Analyst. The ideal candidate will conduct research on investment opportunities, prepare financial models, and monitor existing investments. Strong analytical skills and relevant degree are essential. This role requires fluency in English and good communication abilities.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of deal and transaction experience in investment banking or buy-side investment firm.
  • Familiar with analytical tools and software relevant for investments.
  • Detail-oriented with high work quality.

Responsibilities

Job description

Our client who is a large local asset mangement firm with AUM of around 2 bill is looking to hire an investment analyst to join their team

Role and Responsibilities
  • Conduct active research, due diligence and analysis on investment opportunities across multi- asset classes including private equity, real estate, private debt, venture capital, equities and bonds (funds and directs)
  • Prepare rigorous financial models, investment memos and recommendations for investment committee and board approvals
  • Monitor and review performance of existing investments in view of the entire portfolio and asset allocation
  • Prepare monthly / quarterly / annual performance reports of the underlying investments and entire portfolio
  • Actively monitor portfolio risk metrics by generating reports and building model scenarios
  • Actively maintain and update investment pipeline and portfolio so as to build an institutional quality investment portfolio framework to meet and exceed the portfolio’s return objectives.
  • Actively prepare and attend relevant Board and IC meetings update on relevant industry trends / reports / databases relevant to the existing and potential investments
  • Work closely with the firm’s network of bankers, auditors, lawyers on all potential investments
Requirements
  • Strong fundamental and technical analysis, critical thinking capabilities with at least 2 years deal and transaction experience in investment banking / buy side investment firm
  • Degree holder in Accounting, Finance, Business or Economics. CFA/CAIA qualification would be an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, key research databases such as CapIQ, MI, Bloomberg etc
  • Familiar with a range of analytical tools, databases, software relevant for investments and portfolio management
  • Detailed-oriented and high level of work quality
  • Fluent in English
  • Excellent written, verbal communication skills and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated, hands-on, take initiative, high curiosity while being a teamplayer
